Westbury is a lovely little town (approx. 30km) drive from Launceston.
Westbury itself and the village green are nice for a little wander - both the 'Green Door' and the 'Hub' Cafe do a great takeaway coffee (please note we haven't actually gone into these cafes with the wheelchair so are unable to comment).
Westbury town common, just off Kings Street is one of our favourite places for a walk. This is a lovely, easy walk surrounded by wetlands, the river and lots of picnic tables and benches. The main path is flat and loose gravel - to get a longer walk the path becomes mainly flattened grass, with a bit of a bump every now and then. You don't have to go 'off piste' like my folks like to do though and can just stick to the main path 🤣.
Dogs allowed off lead - under effective control.
