Just 5 mins drive up the road from Gravelly Beach is Paper Beach. This is another lovely little place that's worth venturing to. The times we have been there - we found that the beach itself wasn't suitable for wheelchairs but there's a nice couple of spots where you can sit and have a picnic or just relax whilst Mr Hughie has a paddle and plays with his beloved tennis ball.
There's also a short coastal walk from paper beach around the foreshore to the Swan Point Esplanade - but as you can see by some of the pictures...pretty sure we can't describe this route as wheelchair friendly given the track!! Dogs allowed on lead.
We recommend you take the scenic view back to Launceston and stop in at Winter Brook Vineyard. This is a great little place, run by such lovely people. We didn't go into the cellar door but sat out in their garden at one of their picnic tables and enjoyed a delicious glass of the good stuff. As we were the only ones there, they also kindly fenced off where we were sitting, so Mr Hughie could be off lead and run around 🐶
