Denison Beach

This is a fabulous beach that we stumbled upon on our way home from the East Coast.

It's roughly a 10-minute drive north of Bicheno and we accessed Denison Beach via the first turn-off (signposted). The path wasn't easy at all and we needed both Dad and I to get...aka drag the wheelchair down to the beach (Mr Hughie was no help at all!!). But it was definitely worth the effort and Mum loved it.

We were able to walk, run and 'wheelie' with the wheelchair for about an hour one way before turning around and coming back. There wasn't another soul to be seen and Mr Hughie was allowed off lead to play his beloved game of fetch.

It is important to note - there is a section where dogs are prohibited so avoid that area of the beach if travelling with your four-legged mate!

There were other access points to Denison beach along the road (A3) if you continued north but we can't comment on what these are like.
